Kelvyna Cafe @ Wisma PJ5 Soho, Kelana Jaya

A brand new cafe had just open its door in the neighbourhood of Kelana Jaya in the early November 2014. Kelvyna Cafe is currently in its soft opening this whole month. The official opening is scheduled in the end of November. Currently, light meal, desserts and coffee are served to the public. Brunches and dinner meals are expected to be available after its grand opening.

Coffee lovers who are working or staying nearby Kelana Jaya do not need to travel far for caffeine fix now. From the cafe name, we get to know, the owner, Kelvyna Ng in person. Former banker turned cafe owner, Kelvyna decided to give up her career and fully focus on her new venture. With her passion in coffee, she finally managed to open up her own cafe after six months of preparation.

Outdoor seating is available here for sunshine boys and girls. Or to be precisely, the area is also the smoking zone. You can see the new add in for the menu. Try out the Fish & Chip (value for money). According to Kelvyna, the cafe is targeting customers from around the neighbourhood especially residents and office workers from the building itself.

Surprisingly, once you enter the premise, you will see wonder of spacious space. High ceiling with hanging bulb lightnings make the ambiance more comforting. For patrons who prefer more space to wander around or taking photo, this is the place you should be here. Different tables and seating are catered for the crowd (sofa, wooden seat, round table, metal table and etc). Kelvyna is working her magic to mix and match the perfect fixtures and fittings to be displayed to the patrons.

Here you can see from a different angle on the tables and seats available in Kelvyna Cafe. The historic Route 66 table can be seen clearly. A photo of a cup coffee on top of the table should able to steal some "likes" in Instagram.

Even the pillar is filled with decoration and display items. Here we can see a vintage radio being display. Forgot to ask whether it is for sales or not. 

I am pretty sure these items are for sales. According to Kelvyna, most of the items being display are for sales if the patrons are interested. No price tag is being display. I assume you just need to grab your favourite item and ask the counter what it cost to bring it home. 

At one corner, I spotted at least 10 clocks are ticking on the same time. Wall clocks, stand clock and even table clock are being displayed here. More clocks more merrier? Hope the alarm were not set to go off at the same time. Yes, You are right! Kelvyna would love you to bring one back home if you are interested. Moreover, she did mention that she is bringing in more items to replenish the items sold. 

Angels are an icon in this Cafe. Do not forget to take a photo with the pair of angel wing on the wall. I believe the photo can be "Likes" killer on your Instagram if you think food photo is too mainstream. One important point, the wings are not for sales for time being. Take more photos because it might be sold in the future. 

You can place your order at the counter situated deep inside from the main entrance. Menu lists are displayed on the wall behind the counter. Food menu is just in front of the cake display.

Homemade cakes, muffins and pies are being served too. Some of the cakes are Red Velvet and New York Cheesecake. As seen from the food menu, waffles such as Choco Banana and Strawberry are being served as well.

Cappuccino (RM10)

Ordered my usual favourite Cappuccino to cure my coffee addiction. Coffee is served with two shots of espresso in Kelvyna Cafe. If you prefer stronger, just add an extra shot with RM2 to make it three shots. The normal Cappuccino tastes fine for my taste buds.

For those who cannot stand for 2 shots espresso, remember to inform the barista or else you will be awake all night long.

If you are unsure whether you are at the right place or not, just look out for the PJ5 SOHO sign above. Kelvyna Cafe is just situated at the corner of the building (another corner is 7-Eleven). Stay tune for the Official Opening as new promotion will be announced for the day.
