The Shotlist @ Sri Petaling

The Shotlist had just recently soft opening in the neighbourhood of Sri Petaling on 21st December 2015 (Monday). The Shotlist is brought to us by the same founders of Brew Houze from Kota Damansara. The cafe is situated few shops away from Jojo Pan Mee Restaurant.

You are on the right place if you spotted the wooden signage outside the premise!

For those who are familiar with the place, getting a car park is quite messy along the road. As the cafe is just situated just walking distance from the covered parking building, I do not mind paying RM2 for it.

You will be surprised once you enter the premise. Nicely renovated and chilling ambiance for coffee lovers. As you can see, the cafe is smoking free and the only smoking area is outside the premise.

The founders spent wisely on the interior design and renovation to make the place as comfort as home. Some of the seats are colourful match sofas and there even have large table that cater for big family such as 8-10 person.

Sit like a BOSS here!

The kitchen section is situated far left inside the premise. A sneak preview of the chef cooking can be seen through the tiny glass window panel.

Spacious area

Spotted plenty of spacious area deeper inside the cafe. Small group who prefer privacy can opt for seating here.

Familly affair?

Dining with family is not an issue. The cafe even have a spot just like your the dining area in your home.

Overview from the inside

At the time of visiting the cafe, some items on the Menu are not available yet. I am looking forward for the next visit to try out some dishes from the Japanese Don and waiting patiently for them to start the Waffles.

Fishee Coffee @ Arked Esplanad, Bukit Jalil

Fishee Coffee, a coffee junkie place, is brewing its way at Arked Esplanad, Bukit Jalil. The addition of this cafe will bring in more selection for our coffee lovers in the neighbourhood of Bukit Jalil, Sri Petaling and Overseas Union Garden (OUG).

Kelvyna Cafe @ Wisma PJ5 Soho, Kelana Jaya

A brand new cafe had just open its door in the neighbourhood of Kelana Jaya in the early November 2014. Kelvyna Cafe is currently in its soft opening this whole month. The official opening is scheduled in the end of November. Currently, light meal, desserts and coffee are served to the public. Brunches and dinner meals are expected to be available after its grand opening.

Coffee lovers who are working or staying nearby Kelana Jaya do not need to travel far for caffeine fix now. From the cafe name, we get to know, the owner, Kelvyna Ng in person. Former banker turned cafe owner, Kelvyna decided to give up her career and fully focus on her new venture. With her passion in coffee, she finally managed to open up her own cafe after six months of preparation.

i One Cafe @ Cheras

Good news for Cheras coffee lovers! I know how difficult to actually find a decent coffee cafe to clear our caffeine thirst nearby the neighbourhood. I usually travel to cafe at Mont Kiara for coffee fix at night.

No worries now because I just spotted one in Cheras. Shorter travel distance and of course, a well prepared coffee for the patrons.

i One Cafe is currently opened for business for its soft launch since mid August. All patrons who order coffee based beverages will entitle for 50% discount till its official opening.

The official opening is on 20th September 2014 (Saturday). For non-coffee lovers, you can opt for fresh juices or tea. Currently, i One Cafe is only serving cake for dessert. Hot food for brunch will only available after its official opening.

BEAM @ Bandar Sri Damansara

BEAM is totally a hidden gem in the industrial area of Bandar Sri Damansara. For those who never been here before, you will probably thinking that your navigation apps (Waze or Google Map) is bringing you to the wrong destination (that is what I am thinking too). Probably not, when you notice plenty of vehicles parking nearby when you are nearing the cafe.

BEAM stands for Bean Expedition At Manufactory is situated in a corner lot of Jalan Gangsa SD 5/B. Look out for the building with greyish green in colour.

If you still fail to notice it, then maybe you can try looking for the side entrance. Clearly seen raw bricks with the word BEAM on it.

BAD Cafe by Wood & Steel @ Glomac Galleria, Desa Sri Hartamas

It has been awhile since I blog about Coffee. I have make up my mind and decided to spend more time on this section.

Let start of with something bad. Nah... I meant BAD Cafe. For those who unsure, BAD Cafe is brought to us by the people behind Wood & Steel.

Grand Opening of Cosans Coffee, Solaris Mont Kiara

On 25th May 2014, Cosans Coffee had successfully open its second branch in Solaris Mont Kiara. For those who are unaware, the familiar name of Cosans Coffee is available in SS15, Subang Jaya too.

Plenty bouquet of flowers were seen gazing at the corridor of the outlet to congratulate Cosans Coffee for its Grand Opening. Friendly staffs are standby in the outlet to serve the guests well with warm greetings and smile on their faces.

Brewyard Coffee @ SS15, Subang Jaya

A new coffee cafe, Brewyard just started brewing in the neighbourhood of SS15, Subang Jaya. The cafe officially opened its door for business on 2nd May 2014. Although less than 2 months old, Brewyard is certainly gaining its popularity among coffee lovers and will surely become one of the hottest spot in time to come.

For those who are unaware, Brewyard is just situated a few doors away from COSANS Coffee. You might miss the shop but look out for its black signboard with the brown wordings.

The Brew HouZe @ The Strand, Kota Damansara

The Signage

The Brew Houze is the upcoming coffee place in the neighbourhood of The Strand, Kota Damansara. It opened its door to the public in April 2014. The cafe is situated behind the row of CIMB, OCBC and Alliance Bank. To be more precisely, it is just opposite of Club 7.

I was looking for a new coffee place to hangout around my working area and decided to drop by here on a normal Friday evening. With more than an hour to spare from the horrific traffic jam (those who work here will understand the traffic condition along Persiaran Surian). Not many people at that time. Maybe the place is still new. Let us explore the cafe slowly.

Front view (Night)

The signage is quite visible to the crowd especially in the dark. They always adhere with the principle of making fantastic Coffee and great Food for People. (Coffee ~Food~People). Simple yellow lighting to brighten the surrounding. As I was aware, it is probably the only coffee cafe on this row. However, a few pubs and bars are just distance away. 

[Budget] Barista & Latte Art Workshop

More and more hipster and coffee cafes are mushrooming in Klang Valley nowadays. The trend of enjoying a nice cup of coffee or getting a coffee fix has become a lifestyle to urban people.

Some might still prefer coffee from franchised coffee shop such as Starbucks or Coffee Bean. But mostly have shifted towards modern cafes for better aromatic coffee and cheaper pricing.

For true coffee lovers who want to learn in-dept about coffee can enroll into coffee class or workshop. The courses are not easily available and it does not come cheap as well. I came across a deal from Groupon and I think it might be suitable to some coffee lovers who want to expand their knowledge on this field.

Wood & Steel @ The Strand, Kota Damansara

Main entrance

Wood & Steel is the perfect place for a combination of Coffee, Furniture and Art. It is situated at The Strand, Kota Damansara. It occupied the ground and upper floors for the patrons. For those who are unfamiliar, the cafe is facing the main road leading to the Giant Hypermarket.

For those who are seeking for furniture or art paint can drop to the LifeShop next to the cafe. You will have plenty of decorative choices inside. 

Sketch painting

Patrons will be greeted by the lively sketch painting from the main door. Looks creepy though... 

Cosans Coffee @ SS15, Subang Jaya

Cosans Coffee is quickly established itself as one of the upcoming cafe in the SS15 neighbourhood since its inception in January 2014. Anyone can easily spot the shop with its totally astonishing black exterior.
