MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2017 closes with the big finale in Putrajaya! - 14 May 2017

Putrajaya, 14 May 2017: The MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day celebrates with the grand finale for 2017 in Putrajaya, after reaching up to 60,000 Malaysians across 7 cities in Malaysia. Over its two-month campaign, MILO continued championing the importance of breakfast and educating parents about fulfilling the energy needs of their school-going children.

“We started the MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day in 2013 to champion the importance of a wholesome breakfast. This year, we aim to educate parents about how pairing breakfast with MILO® helps to efficiently release the energy from food. This gives our children the energy they need to take on their day. We are very happy with the response we have received from Malaysians across the country this year,” said Philomena Tan, Business Executive Officer, MILO® Business Unit.

Based on an internal observation, children expand up to 1,500kcal on an average school day. This is equivalent to the energy needed to climb a mountain, swim 50 laps in a pool or even run a half marathon. This year, the campaign aims to educate parents across the country about the actual daily energy requirements of their school-going children and inculcate healthier breakfast habits among Malaysians.

Senior Nutritionist, NestlĂ© (Malaysia) Berhad, Nurul Iliani Ahmad said, “A balanced breakfast, paired with a cup of MILO® helps deliver the energy a child needs to take on the day. MILO® contains calcium, Activ-Go™, a unique combination of PROTOMALT® and essential micronutrients – vitamins and minerals – which allows the kids get the most out of their breakfast and helping them to perform at their best, mentally and physically.”
