Huckleberrry Food & Fare @ Damansara Heights


A new food heaven, Huckleberry Food & Fare was recently making its presence in Damansara Heights. Huckleberry Food & Fare is a new 'pork free' bakery and kitchen concept.


Brought to you by the team behind Kuala Lumpur’s successful Mezze Bistro, this unique concept is a collaboration of a fresh-eyed, strong management skills and distinguished baking and culinary capabilities.


Huckleberry Food & Fare is located at a corner lot in Plaza Damansara. It serves breakfast, lunch and tea with its lovely country-style bakery interior. As the surroundings of the area are occupied mostly by office goers, those in a hurry can opt for many Huckleberry Food & Fare's grab-an-go items.

Did I mentioned that Huckleberry Food & Fare serves good coffee as well? Coffee lovers can rest assured with the cup of coffee. Huckleberry Food & Fare takes a 'tree-to-cup' approach, dealing with plantation owners to produce its signature Sumatran Gayo coffee. The quality coffee beans are brewed using the award-winning Synesso Cyncra coffee machine to bring you the perfect cup of coffee. Best of all the price of the coffee is very affordable.

Huckleberry Food & Fare offers almost 25 varieties of hand-crafted, delicious smelling, crusty gourmet breads. According to Huckleberry Food & Fare, culinary director, Shantini Sabapathy, they are putting all of their passion and imagination in creating some unique wholesome treats for everyone.

Bread: Multigrain, Milk Loaf, Miche Sourdough Walnut Raisin

Huckleberry Food & Fare’s signature bread is the Miche Sourdough range, while others include the classic multigrain, organic meteil from a house-blend of organic flour and rye sourdough starter, the beautifully braided challah bread as well as general crowd pleasers - farmer’s bread, wholemeal and rye - served fresh and lovingly from the oven


Chilli Cheese Toast (RM13.90)
Mumbai's answer to the Welsh rabbit, slice of toasted grilled with bechamel, spring onions, green chillies and sambal. Topped with sunny side up

Superfood Salad (RM25.90)
Nutrient dense salad of romaine, baby spinach, rocket, broccoli, petit, pois, beetroot, quinoa, mango, pomegranate and avocado topped with omega nuts and seed mix, tossed with raw organic honey mustard dressing

Smoked Duck Bacon & Egg Pasta (RM25.90)
A simple, hearty dish of spaghetti, house-made duck bacon and poached egg

Salt Beef Sammie with Rye Caraway Bread with sides of gherkins (RM32.90)
Whopping 170gm of succulent salt beef with mustard, sandwiched between baker's special rye caraway bread

Banana Fresh Toast (RM24.90)
Thick slice of brioche dipped in a rich vanilla custard scented with nutmeg and cinnamon, cooked in butter. Topped with bananas, toasted walnuts, choice of house-made apple syrup or raw honey

All the great food are well presented and making me to ask for more. The Banana Fresh Toast is a must-try (taste it when it is hot). Try out Chilli Cheese Toast if you are looking to try something new and hot excitement.

Surely, I need a second visit to try out more foods on the menu by Executive Chef, Yves Renou, who has been spearheading the Mezze kitchen since 2011 and has been a key member of annual Michelin dinner-series hosted by Mezzze Bistro alongside guests, Michelin-star chefs.

Besides the good food, do not miss out the cakes and pastries by Huckleberry Food & Fare especially the Sticky-sticky Buns. 

The artisan bakery is spearheaded by Master Baker, Christophe Gros, who brings to the table over 22 years of experience in classic French breads and pastries. Coming from a family of bakers, his work has always been designed to capture a delicious range of flavours, textures and aromas, and his passion for breads has taken him around the world to New York and Boston.

It was an honour to be able to see Christophe demonstrating the bread baking in one-of-a-kind 120 square feet size Bongard Omega2 artisanal oven.

Finally, a new place to hangout for good food and great coffee for myself. Looking forward to the weekend to spend my brunch there.
