Main entrance
Wood & Steel is the perfect place for a combination of Coffee, Furniture and Art. It is situated at The Strand, Kota Damansara. It occupied the ground and upper floors for the patrons. For those who are unfamiliar, the cafe is facing the main road leading to the Giant Hypermarket.
For those who are seeking for furniture or art paint can drop to the LifeShop next to the cafe. You will have plenty of decorative choices inside.

Sketch painting |
Patrons will be greeted by the lively sketch painting from the main door. Looks creepy though...
|
Outdoor seats |
For those who wanted to enjoy the ambiance outside of the premise, can opt for the seating outdoor. Very artistic wooden and steels chairs for the patrons. Don't forget the comforting sofa and pillows too.
|
"Chairs" painting? |
As you enter the cafe, you will greeted with all sort of wooden and steel tables and chairs which are properly arranged for the comfort of patrons. Great use of space with the furniture. To make it more hipster, naked brick walls and purposely uneven rough surface of walls can be seen in the cafe.
Large paintings are hanging on the wall for the viewing of the patrons.
|
Small paintings are available too |
|
Colourful art display |
|
Bar counter |
The counter is strategically situated deep left from the main entrance. You can choose your meal and beverages from the menu on the wall. After you make your payment, you will be given a wooden number block. They will serve your food and beverages straight to your table.

Latte (RM10) & Iced Latte (RM10) with my lucky wooden number block |
Surprisingly, the cafe does not serve my favourite Cappucinno. I ended up with Ice Latte due to the hot weather outside lately. My usual suspect, Calvin happily ordered his Hot Latte. Forgot to ask how much shot they are using but the Latte is good enough for me. The coffee taste remain in the mouth after every sip. It will be perfect to enjoy the strong taste of Latte with a slice of cake.
However, we did not order any food on that day as we purposely walk there for a coffee fix. Certainly, will drop by for next visit to explore the upper floor and the food.
|
Wall display |
Check out every part of the wall and you will have displays that match the name of the cafe. Displays that are made from wood and steel.
|
Vinyl record player |
Spotted a vintage vinyl record player on display together with some olden black and white photographs on the wall and leather case.
